In Niagara, we get open-field winds of 85-90 km/h regularly. I needed something that could handle it—this greenhouse hasn't budged.
— Niagara Region, Ontario

Perfect for Every Canadian Climate Zone

CANADIAN WINTERS

Twin-wall insulation retains heat better than glass or plastic film. Reduces heating costs and helps maintain more stable temperatures compared to glass.

HOT SUMMERS

Offers superior heat management compared to glass or plastic film. UV-protected panels reduce heat buildup and diffuse light evenly so plants don't scorch.

WINDY & WET CLIMATE

Rated to 105 km/h wind resistance. Polycarbonate panels flex under pressure instead of shattering like glass. Protects plants from rain while vents allow airflow to prevent moisture buildup inside.

WHAT CAN BE USED AS A BASE FOR THE GREENHOUSE?

Direct planting in soil:Free and natural-looking, but may not be as stable and may require additional reinforcement. Also more susceptible to pests and diseases.

Concrete pad:Durable, stable, and long-lasting, ideal for heavy greenhouses. However, it's expensive and time-consuming to install.

Paving stone, slabs or breeze blocks:Cost-effective and easy to install, but less durable than concrete. May not be as level or as resistant to moisture.

Wooden base:Affordable and customizable, but requires regular maintenance to prevent rot. Can be less stable than other options.

Steel base:Extremely durable and long-lasting, but also expensive and heavy. Installation can be challenging.

Plastic base:Lightweight and easy to transport, but not as durable as other options. May warp or crack over time.

How do you anchor the greenhouse?

The greenhouse kit is designed to be anchored into the soil, 13.5 - 16in deep. Each extension has a T-shaped part at the bottom of it on both sides.

Why is polycarbonate better than glass for Canadian climates?

Polycarbonate is the workhorse choice for Canadian gardens. It handles our extreme temperature swings (-40°C to +35°C) without cracking, insulates 40% better than glass to cut heating costs, and won't shatter under hail or heavy snow loads. Great for provinces with less winter sunlight—the panels diffuse light evenly so plants grow healthier. If you're in a protected southern Ontario location and want a luxury aesthetic, glass is an option. For everywhere else in Canada? Polycarbonate

How much growing space do I really need, and what size should I get?

The ideal greenhouse size depends on your specific gardening goals. For beginners or casual gardeners with limited space, our standard 9.84' × 19.66' model provides sufficient room for essential crops. However, most customers find they quickly outgrow smaller structures and recommend starting with at least 100 square feet if space permits.

Consider what you'll grow: vegetables require more space than herbs, and tomatoes or vining plants need vertical clearance. Our 6.56' height accommodates most gardeners comfortably without stooping. A good rule of thumb is to calculate your current garden space and add 25-50% more for proper workspace and future expansion.

How difficult will it be to assemble and maintain?

Our greenhouse is designed for straightforward assembly that most homeowners complete in a single weekend. The frame components are pre-cut with clearly labeled parts and include detailed step-by-step instructions. Most customers report spending 4-6 hours on assembly with basic tools and a helper.

The polycarbonate panels attach to the frame using our patented quick-connect system, eliminating the need for complicated glazing techniques required by glass greenhouses.

Maintenance is minimal by design. The 0.23' twin-wall polycarbonate requires only occasional cleaning with mild soap and water—no special treatments or coatings. The galvanized steel frame resists corrosion and never needs painting. Door hinges and window openers may benefit from light lubrication once yearly.

Most customers find that their time is spent growing plants, not maintaining their greenhouse. As one customer noted, "I spend more time maintaining my lawnmower than I do my greenhouse.

Will I get enough use from it to justify the expense and space in my yard?

Most customers report their greenhouse pays for itself within the first 1-2 growing seasons through extended harvests and plant protection. Your greenhouse transforms a seasonal hobby into a year-round growing space, providing fresh produce up to 4 months longer than outdoor gardens. The structure protects expensive perennials and ornamentals that would otherwise need replacing after harsh winters, saving hundreds of dollars annually.

Beyond the financial return, customers consistently mention the satisfaction of harvesting fresh tomatoes in December or starting seedlings weeks before their neighbors. Many find their greenhouse becomes their favorite spot to unwind—a peaceful retreat regardless of outside weather. As one customer explained, "I was worried about the space it would take up, but now it's the most productive and enjoyable part of my yard."

What does the warranty cover?

Our warranty for the steel part of the greenhouse is for rust and durability, for polycarbonate panels durability.
